居荷副刊（北美中文学生习作选刊）
To all Chinese language professors and instructors:
The 2016 volume of JUHE SUPPLEMENT sincerely invites all Chinese language teachers to recommend Chinese essays written by your students.
JUHE SUPPLEMENT 居荷副刊 is an annual magazine dedicated to the publication of fine Chinese essays written by learners of Chinese as a foreign language for the purpose of promoting Chinese study in North America. It provides a venue for learners to practice good penmanship and to share their ideas, inspirations, and successes in their Chinese learning processes.
We welcome students of Chinese nationwide to submit their writings. All submissions should be sent electronically. Please attach only ONE essay to each email of submission. The essays should be complete articles with clea! r topics in 200-2000 words accordingly. There is no limitation of the topics or genre. Both traditional and simplified characters will work. In addition, JUHE SUPPLEMENT will compile selected works from the beginning level to the advanced level. Each essay will compete with the other essays from the same proficiency level. We will add Pinyin and a brief vocabulary list for each selected essay of the beginning level. Once the manuscript is accepted for publication, the contributor will receive one complimentary copy of the JUHE SUPPLEMENT.

Requirement
All entries of the competition should follow the standards in the Curriculum and should be submitted according to the following classification.
（1）Levels: with reference to the objectives and contents of Level 1-6 in the Curriculum
（2）Target students: preschool children, primary school students, secondary school students, university students and adults
（3）Topics: selected from Appendix 5 "CLT Topic Suggestions" in the Curriculum
（4）Lesson structure: conventional model, task-based model, theme-based model, cross-disciplinary model etc.- All entries should be uploaded in Chinese or English in the format of Word.
- Each participant is allowed to submit 20 entries as the maximum.
- Ways of submission: Login the official website of the competition at keli.chinesecio.com to submit works.
- Awards: For each level of 1 to 6, there will be 5 first-prize winners, 10 second-prize winners and 25 third-prize winners, who will be awarded with certificates and prizes.

我们郑重向您推荐由中国国家开放大学（中央广播电视大学）对外汉语教学中心组织举办的“MyEChinese挑战中国通有奖征文”活动。本次征文活动希望为各国汉语和中国文化学习者、爱好者提供一个分享交流和自我展示的平台，在激发他们学习热情的同时，也能够提高其汉语写作能力。
大赛将评选出优秀作品，设置一、二、三等奖、优秀奖和参与奖，共100名。其中，优秀作品将推荐到北京语言大学出版社、中央广播电视大学音像出版社等知名出版单位，通过纸质图书、电子音像制品、移动学习产品等方式出版。
此外，大赛鼓励老师们推荐或指导学生积极参与，特别设置指导教师奖和推荐奖，奖励优秀作品的指导教师和推荐者。

香港駐紐約經濟貿易辦事處長陳淑華13日宣布，以「增進香港與美國之間了解和交流的最佳方法」為題的第三屆香港盃普通話演講比賽已開始接受報名，凡居於康州、麻州、新州、紐約、賓州和羅德島的大學生及研究生皆可參加。每位入圍決賽者將可獲100元禮券，冠亞軍還將獲得赴香港學習交流的機會。這次比賽為慶祝經貿處成立30周年活動之一，大紐約地區中文教師學會及新英格蘭地區中文教師協會協辦。為配合不同程度學生的需要，大會將比賽分為初級組(參賽者在大學或研究所學習中文兩年或以下)及高級組(在大學或研究所學習中文超過兩年及以上)。參賽資格為現居於康州、麻州、新澤西、紐約州、賓州和羅德島等六州的在學大學生或研究生、且母語並非華語的學生。報名日期自即日起至6月30日截止。
比賽分初賽及決賽兩部分。初賽者需先以普通話介紹自己，錄製成三分鐘為限的DVD錄像帶，連同填妥的報名表，寄至香港駐紐約經濟貿易辦事處，地址曼哈坦東54街115號，或電郵：[email protected]。
大會將選取16名參賽者(初級組及高級組各八位)，參加今年10月26日在紐約市SUNY Global Centre舉行的決賽。晉身決賽者每人將要準備五分鐘普通話演講，主題為「增進香港與美國之間了解和交流的最佳方法」，另接受兩分鐘的即席問答。
每位入圍決賽者將可獲100元禮券，並按學校與比賽場地距離有交通津貼。每個組別的冠軍及亞軍將有機會到香港的大學作短期交流，並參觀香港公司及企業。查詢可電(212)752-3320分機220，或上網至www.hketony.gov.hk。
